NSF Open Source Software Workshop, 'Convening on Sustaining Open Source Software in the Research Enterprise'

Dr. Katherine Brown discusses the FloDisMod project at the NSF Open Source Software Workshop, “Convening on Sustaining Open Source Software in the Research Enterprise” held at the Ithaka office in New York City.

Dr. Katherine Brown attended the “Sustaining Open Source Software in the Research Enterprise” (SOSSRE), a one-day in-person workshop supported by the National Science Foundation,[8] Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. A key aim of the workshop was was to bolster support the ecosystem of open source research software and develop holistic pathways for sustaining it within higher education: Dr. Brown participated in the workshop, describing the challenges associated Open Source Software development and sustainability in the FloDisMod project.
