Scholarship ·Stone Nwamadi, a public health major at the University of Texas at Austin wins an Empowering Future Agricultural Scientists’ scholarship with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The Empowering Future Agricultural Scientists (EFAS) is a program based at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley headed by Dr. Patricia Feria. It provides scholarships for undergraduate college students in Texas to gain hands-on experimental learning in projects in the agricultural sector. Mr. Stone Nwamadi was awarded a scholarship for 2024-2025 to pursue research aimed at describing, using geospatial tools, the vulnerability of agricultural lands in the lower Rio Grande Valley to flooding.
