Ira Narang wins EFAS Scholarship with UTRGV
Scholarship ·Ira Narang, a computer engineering major at the University of Texas at Austin has won an Empowering Future Agricultural Scientists’ scholarship with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The Empowering Future Agricultural Scientists (EFAS) is a program based at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley headed by Dr. Patricia Feria. It provides scholarships for undergraduate college students in Texas to gain hands-on experimental learning in projects in the agricultural sector. Ms. Ira Narang was awarded a scholarship for 2023-2024 to pursue research aimed at modeling the effects flood mitigation by sand dunes, located on barrier islands in south Texas.
