Community Learning Exchange Partners hosted by the Museum of South Texas

The Museum of South Texas History in Edinburgh Texas hosted a Community Learning Exchange Partners that with participants from Cameron and Hidalgo Counties and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and UT Austin.

The Museum of South Texas History in Edinburgh Texas hosted a Community Learning Exchange Partners that with participants from Cameron and Hidalgo Counties and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and UT Austin, including members of FloDisMod. Th workshop included discussions about issues with advocates from hurricane-vulnerable communities at the Texas-Mexico border, and highlighted critical issues related to flood preparedness and mitigation. Channel 5 News, a local station, showed its acclaimed “Facing the Fury” and participants were also able to tour the museum’s Spotlight exhibit, “Hurricanes: Overcoming Catastrophe,”
