Digital Development Student Assistant, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley

I am an undergraduate student at UTRGV majoring in Mechanical Engineering (expected graduation in 2027). I have been working with FloDisMod since 2024 and have presented works on “Communication Strategies in Climate Change Outreach: The FloDisMod - FeriaLab Approach ” under Dr. Teresa Feria Arroyo, focusing on translating research into clear, engaging communication for both academic and community audiences. My work includes maintaining and improving digital content (website updates and outreach materials), supporting project documentation, and helping develop physical outreach tools, such as 3D-printed keychains and educational materials that make our work more accessible and memorable. I’m especially interested in how technology, design, and tools can strengthen community engagement around climate-related health risks and vector-borne disease prevention.
