Dr. Alex Marden

Alex Marden is the GIS and Geospatial Data Coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin Libraries. He received his PhD in Geography from UT Austin in 2024, where his research focused on observing spatiotemporally complex climate-disturbance linkages in Kalahari wildland fire regimes. In his role with the UT Libraries he supports the GIS needs of the university community and works to make geospatial data broadly available and accessible.
