Award ·Ira Narang, an undergraduate student studying computer engineering at UT Austin, was awarded “Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation” under the category of Earth, Environmental, and Marine Sciences at the the 2024 UTRGV College of Sciences Annual Research Conference.
Ira Narang, an undergraduate student studying computer engineering at UT Austin, was awarded “Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation” under the category of Earth, Environmental, and Marine Sciences at the the 2024 UTRGV College of Sciences Annual Research Conference. This conference, held on the UTRGV Edinburg campus, gives participants an opportunity to present their original research and scholarly work to the local university community. Ira’s work, “Flood Impact Mitigation: Assessing the Role of Sand Dunes in Protecting Crops in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas”, is supported by a scholarship she received from the Empowering Future Agricultural Sciences program, directed by Dr. Patricia Feris is supported by the USDA at UTRGV.
